COMPANY CHAMELEON (GB)
[Amaranthine„, pronounced am-a-ran-thine, explores a relationship between a man and a woman and follows a couple desperately trying to resolve a conflict and find their way back to each other. Complex and emotive, the play entangles in an ebb and flow of feelings and arguments on the one hand, appreciation, understanding and acceptance on the other. A powerful and risk-taking performance in a mixture of contemporary dance, b-boying and capoeira.
The Chameleon company is known for its unique and athletic dance style, shaped by Anthony Missen and Kevin Edward Turner. The pair met at Trafford Youth Dance Theatre in the 1990s and trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance. After graduating, they worked with some of the most innovative dance companies and choreographers in the world and eventually founded their own company in 2007. Today, Company Chameleon tours internationally, giving over 50 indoor and outdoor performances each year. In doing so, they have introduced thousands of young people from all over the world to a different side of dance and movement.
