The TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ Center Chemnitz team is planning on June 25, 2026 <\/strong>the first roundtable on the topic of\u00a0Dance, Dementia and Parkinson's<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the TANZPAKT funding, the center is placing a special emphasis on this topic. Studies show that dance can have a very positive impact on people with dementia or Parkinson's, including on mobility, coordination, self-awareness, and quality of life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Round Table brings together professionals from Practice, research, and education<\/strong> together to exchange experiences, discuss current findings, and open up perspectives for the further development of this field of work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with expert colleagues, we are dedicating ourselves to three central themes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practice<\/strong> - What course formats and methods have proven effective? What approaches are meaningful and sustainable for participants? What formats can be realized in Chemnitz?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research <\/strong>\u2013 What is the current scientific understanding of dance and Parkinson's? What findings can be applied to projects and initiatives in Chemnitz?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training and further education<\/strong> \u2013 What are the qualification pathways for dance professionals? What prospects open up, especially for dancers who want to explore new fields of work at the end of their stage careers?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One internationally staffed panel<\/strong> is invited to contribute different perspectives and experiences from practice and research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
