With the DANCE | CONTEMPORARY | DANCE \u2013 Choreographic Centre<\/strong> a new venue for contemporary and urban dance is being created in Chemnitz \u2013 a home for movement, encounter, and artistic exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I Friday, August 28, 2026<\/strong> At 5:00 PM, the project will be presented to the public for the first time in the former Aktien-Spinnerei II at EUROPARK, Schulstra\u00dfe 42A in Altchemnitz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with numerous partners from civil society, business, and the public sector, TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ e.V. is developing a place here with supra-regional and national appeal. The Choreographic Center is intended to professional dance artists as well as female amateurs in the future<\/strong> be open and bring together people of different generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

State Parliament President Alexander Dierks and the Saxon State Minister for Culture and Tourism Barbara Klepsch, among others, are expected to attend the presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The new center is being realized with the support of the TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund funding program and is co-funded by the Free State of Saxony, the City of Chemnitz, the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, Sparkasse Chemnitz, and the Stiftung TANZ \u2013 Transition Zentrum Deutschland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
