As part of One Love for Jamaica<\/strong> loading TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ e.V.<\/strong> together with the Municipal Music School Chemnitz<\/strong> to a lively music workshop with the Jamaican singer, entertainer and musician Steve Higgins<\/strong> one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus is on Jamaican folk songs, reggae, rhythm, voice, and singing together. Steve Higgins gives participants a musical insight into Jamaica's culture, combining energy, joy, call-and-response, and cultural exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop is aimed at music school students as well as anyone interested \u2013 adults are also very welcome. Afterwards, at 5:00 pm<\/strong> a small final presentation for parents, families, friends, and guests takes place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop is part of the charity project One Love for Jamaica<\/strong> and supports the fundraising campaign for relief efforts after Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the support of: Theater Chemnitz, Municipal Music School Chemnitz, BUNAO, Yardkultur e.V. with the Jamaican Diaspora Movement Germany as well as the Jamaica Tourist Board Germany.<\/h5>\n\n\n\n
