MOUVOIR (D) & ÉCOLE DES SABLES (SEN)

[:de]Im Kontext globaler Rhythmen inszeniert „Until the Beginnings“ ein energiegeladenes Tanzgedicht, das ein internationales Team von acht Tänzerinnen und Tänzern aus dem Senegal, Deutschland und Frankreich mit Musikerinnen und Musikern aus den Bereichen Perkussion und Rap zusammenbringt. Die Regisseurinnen Alesandra Seutin und Stephanie Thiersch weben dafür aus ihren unterschiedlichen Welten einen choreografischen Teppich, der das Wesen der Gastfreundschaft befragt. Ihre Suche nach grenzüberschreitenden Wegen des Zusammenlebens, wird zu einer Performance des Teilens von Geschichten und choreografischem Bewegungsmaterial.

Stephanie Thiersch ist Gründerin und künstlerische Leiterin von MOUVOIR. Sie versteht ihre choreografische Arbeit in interdisziplinärer Bewegungsforschung und arbeitet eng mit ihrem Ensemble zusammen, das bezüglich Herkunft und Tanzstil ein breites Spektrum abdeckt. Alesandra Seutin, eine preisgekrönten internationalen Performerin, Choreografin und Lehrerin, ist neue künstlerische Leiterin der École des Sables.

MOUVOIR wurde 2011 gegründet und ist weltweit auf Tournee. Das École des Sables in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal, ist eine renommierte Tanzschule der Jant-Bi Association.

Directors Alesandra Seutin and Stephanie Thiersch weave a choreographic tapestry from their different worlds that questions the nature of hospitality. Their search for ways of living together across borders becomes a performance of sharing stories and choreographic movement material.

Stephanie Thiersch is the founder and artistic director of MOUVOIR. She understands her choreographic work in interdisciplinary movement research and works closely with her ensemble, which covers a broad spectrum in terms of origin and dance style. Alesandra Seutin, an award-winning international performer, choreographer and teacher, is the new artistic director of the École des Sables.

MOUVOIR was founded in 2011 and tours worldwide. The École des Sables in Toubab Dialaw, Senegal, is a renowned dance school of the Jant-Bi Association.
