Fête de la Musique in the Region CORE TEAM ON THE MOVE RAIL2DANCE

21. June 2023 | 15:00 Uhr - 18:00 Uhr

Eintritt frei

Rail2Dance is an exciting journey across Europe. The focus is on artists from Slovenia, Germany, Finland, and Sweden: Alja Lacković, Sascha Paar, Laura Chambers, Patrick Riipinen, Anna Pehrsson and Maria Naidu. Together they will let their bodies speak in trains, on stations, on ferries and in other places of mobility from May to July 2023. Their performances will surprise people – during their business trip, in the middle of rush-hour traffic or on vacation. Maybe they have never had anything to do with contemporary dance before, maybe they just move along. Everything is possible. And for all of them it is a new experience. While the artists, in collaboration with mentors from the UK, learn a lot about how to reach new audiences and how to conquer public spaces for art, people across Europe are connected by an extraordinary encounter of a fascinating kind. Mentor and artistic initiator is the English choreographer Anthony Missen, an expert in dance in public spaces.

From 16.06.2023 to 21.06.2023, the CORE-TEAM of Rail2Dance can be experienced and discovered in public spaces in Chemnitz, Zwickau and Zwölnitz.
