HOW IS DANCE RELEVANT TO OUR EVERYDAY LIVES? – A Panel discussion
17. June 2024 | 18:00 Uhr - 19:00 Uhr
EINTRITT FREIDance is one of the oldest forms of human expression. It shapes the self-image of our society and enables communication and exchange across all borders. Dance transcends language barriers and has always united people of all ages. Dancing is good for the body and the psyche. It promotes health and mental well-being. Starting with dance projects in kindergartens or schools, where artists strengthen self-esteem, respect and tolerance by responding to the physical abilities of young people. Dancing at a ball, at a wedding or in a club has always been part of our everyday lives. Dancing in old age is currently booming, brings people together and has a preventative effect on dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
And what can we do in Chemnitz to make such projects accessible to everyone? What do the citizens wish for DANCE in the European Capital of Culture 2025?
We look forward to a lively exchange with our invited guests and all interested panel visitors.
