Gyrotonic®
Gyrotonic® is a unique movement method that engages the whole body, opens energy pathways, stimulates the nervous system, and increases range of motion and functional strength. This offering is suitable for dancers, top athletes, and anyone recovering from an injury or living with a disability.
Sandra Falthauser was born in Bern, Switzerland, where she discovered her passion for movement and dance early on. She pursued her dream of becoming a ballerina and was able to live it for a full 20 years. Her dance career eventually led her to Ballet Chemnitz. Injuries and pregnancy led her to explore movement therapies that eased her return to training, which is how she discovered the wonderful possibilities of Gyrotonic®. In 2022, she completed her certification as a Gyrotonic® instructor and has been teaching with enthusiasm at Tanzbüro ever since. Sessions are offered one-on-one, and Sandra speaks fluent German, English, and French.
Yoga
Yoga is a philosophical teaching originating from India, which combines both physical and mental practices to strengthen muscles, improve balance and flexibility, and is traditionally used as preparation for meditation. Under the term Yoga, various practices are grouped together, covering all aspects of human experience (body, mind, and soul), with the aim of harmonizing them. Yoga practice includes physical exercises, breathing, and concentration techniques, which are individually tailored to the goals and needs of practitioners. Classes at Tanzbüro can be conducted in small groups (maximum of 5 people) or in one-on-one sessions.
Alanna Miliauskiene, a former dancer with Ballet Chemnitz, completed her first yoga training in 2015 and has been teaching yoga classes and personal yoga since 2019. She is a certified fitness trainer and yoga instructor with 200h and 500h training (certified by Yoga Alliance), with further education in anatomy, therapeutic approaches to yoga practice, and postnatal yoga.
