10th Chemnitz Ballet Benefit Gala

For the benefit of gehZEITEN e.V. and the TANZ-Transition Zentrum Deutschland foundation

It has already become a wonderful tradition: Every year in May, ballet director Sabrina Sadowska and her company invite guests to the Chemnitz Ballet Benefit Gala at Chemnitz Opera House. The format is now celebrating its tenth anniversary and renowned dance ensembles have once again signed up to present a top-class program – from classical to contemporary choreographies.
This year, all participants will waive their fees and support gehZEITEN gUG Chemnitz – and thus children and young people with special developmental needs, chronic and severe physical illnesses, as well as premature and high-risk babies and their families. Another part of the proceeds will go to the Tanz-Transition Zentrum Deutschland foundation, which provides advice and support when dancers have to reorient themselves professionally (transition) after their relatively short stage career and are looking for future prospects.

Together with Ballett Chemnitz, the Wiesbaden State Ballet, the Semperoper Dresden Ballet, the Pilsen Ballet, the Koblenz Ballet, dancers from the Berlin State Ballet School and the Palucca University of Dance Dresden have performed on stage.
