DANCE camp II
for young people from Chemnitz, the region and Usti Nad Labem, for contemporary, theatrical and urban DANCE.
DANCE camp II - the follow-up project of the Summer DANCE Camp 2022 offers various dance formats for Chemnitz, the Chemnitz region and Ústí nad Labem. Building on the generally accessible collaboration from the summer, semi-professional dancers are now coming for DANCE camp II - Fusion Choreography together.
The idea of the project is to combine contemporary dance and urban dance.
The fusion of the different movement qualities from both dance styles promotes the individual expression of the dancers. Two dance worlds come together and connect people. The focus here is on diversity, freedom and exchange. Not only do the different dance techniques within urban and contemporary dance enrich each other, but the experience and stories of the dancers also flow into the joint dance project Fusion Choreography.
It is also intended to bring together young people and adults from Chemnitz and the region as well as young people and adults from Usti Nad Labem (Czech Republic), Chemnitz's twin city. The aim is to create a non-verbal exchange between the young people and adults. We want to promote the exchange between young people and adults through dance, in line with the motto of the European Capital of Culture 2025 - Chemnitz: „C the Unseen“. On the one hand, this is about making Chemnitz more visible as a cultural region and placing it on the European map with its future challenges and opportunities. On the other hand, it is also about focusing on the previously undiscovered and unseen and connecting committed movers and shakers with Europeans.
