[:en]Die Anlage des Schillerplatzes entstand nach den Plänen des kaufmännischen Direktors der Aktienspinnerei, August Götze. Den Namen erhielt er anlässlich des 100. Geburtstages von Friedrich Schiller im Jahr 1859. Seit Januar 2025 erfreut er uns wieder in seiner ursprünglichen Form. Unsere diesjährige Fahrradtour führt uns zu neuen wie vergessenen Orten, welche uns das Ballett Chemnitz auf tänzerische Weise neu belebt.

Stationen: Schillerpark → Aktienspinnerei → Brühl → Kattundruckerei → Eiskeller am Schlossteich → Chemnitzer Milchhäuschen → Janssen Fabrik → Hartmannfabrik

The TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ international festival for contemporary dance 2025 is Program partners of Chemnitz 2025.

A project within the framework of the European Capital of Culture Chemnitz 2025. This measure is co-financed by tax funds on the basis of the budget approved by the Saxon State Parliament and by federal funds from the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.

[:en]Schillerplatz was created according to the plans of August Götze, the commercial director of the Aktienspinnerei. It was given its name on the occasion of Friedrich Schiller’s 100th birthday in 1859 and has been delighting us again in its original form since January 2025. This year’s bike tour will take us to new and forgotten places, which the Chemnitz Ballet will bring back to life in a dance-like way.
