RIPPLE – TEATIME COMPANY (NL)
[:de]Wenn die Grenzen zwischen Zirkus und Tanz verschwimmen, entsteht die hybride Bewegungssprache der Teatime Company, mit der sie komplexe Ideen in zugängliche, charmante Aufführungen übersetzt – voll mit subtilem Humor und sprechenden Bildern. So wurde für „Ripple“ extra eine riesige Metallspirale gebaut, um sich eindrucksvoll mit Themen wie Gleichgewicht, Einfluss, Macht, Fluss und Reibung auseinanderzusetzen. Während die Spirale also in einem endlosen Kreis über die Bühne rollt, sind die Darsteller ständig neuen Herausforderungen ausgesetzt. Die Bühne wird zum Spielfeld und jeder unerwartet Bewegung kann die gesamte Situation verändern. Eine visuell und physisch faszinierende Aufführung, die sowohl die Sinne als auch die Phantasie anregt.

[:en]When the boundaries between circus and dance become blurred, the Teatime Company’s hybrid movement language emerges, translating complex ideas into accessible, charming performances—full of subtle humour and eloquent images. For ‚Ripple‘, the Teatime Company specifically constructed a massive metal spiral to effectively address themes like balance, influence, power, flow, and friction. While the spiral rolls around the stage in an endless circle, the performers are constantly exposed to new challenges. The stage becomes a playing field, and any unexpected movement can change the entire situation. The performance is visually and physically captivating, stimulating both the senses and the imagination.
