Dieter Wuschanski has been a theater photographer since 1991 and has turned his passion into his profession. The stage comes alive in his pictures – in all its movement, emotional depth and great elegance. His photographs never show a single moment, they tell a story, they speak volumes. Especially the photos of dance and ballet performances. This may be due to his second passion, music, because he always succeeds in capturing the rhythm, the mood, the uniqueness, the great show. And so he created an incredible treasure with his camera: 35 years in which he searched with unbroken curiosity for the poetic sequences in stage productions, as well as numerous concert impressions of well-known bands and music projects.
In this respect, it is hardly surprising that Dieter Wuschanski has accompanied TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ from the very beginning and thus also documented ten years of our international festival for contemporary dance.
We are now showing a selection of moving memories, extraordinary encounters and magical moments in the anniversary exhibition on ten years of TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ at the Sparkasse Chemnitz (Moritzhof). The exhibition can be seen daily during the opening hours of the Sparkasse.
