One Love for Jamaica

A charity project featuring music, dance, and solidarity for Jamaica

Following Hurricane Melissa, Jamaica continues to face major challenges: many people have lost their homes, their livelihoods, or access to basic necessities. Help is still urgently needed.

With One Love for Jamaica invites you to a special morning full of music, dance, encounter, and solidarity at the Chemnitz Opera House. The Jamaican singer, entertainer, and musician Steve Higgins / Steve Higgins Productions, together with Adrian Wanliss, Cultural Ambassador for Jamaica, is creating a warm and lively program that combines Jamaican music, rhythm, and dance.

Accompanied by Jamaican coffee and small treats, an open cultural moment is created in the foyer of the opera house, featuring good music, Jamaican warmth, and an important mission. The event supports the German-Jamaican Society, which specifically funds local organizations in Jamaica and thereby contributes to relief efforts after Hurricane Melissa.
