After the Compagnie Ex Nihilo was a successful guest at the TANZ | MODERNE | TANZ festival in 2016 and 2019, we are delighted to offer a workshop for all dance enthusiasts, even those with no prior knowledge, with Anne Le Batard to offer. It enables new experiences of perceiving the body in space, in a public space, and filling the space with movement.

Anne Le Batard founded Ex Nihilo in 1994 after her career as a dancer in Brussels and Marseille. She is particularly interested in the relationship between dancers and dance to space and to the audience. By exploring public space, she has developed her very own signature style. Jean-Antoine Bigot worked as a dancer in France and Belgium until he joined the company Ex Nihilo in 2000. Since then, he has shared the artistic direction with Anne Le Batard. Together they have already created more than 15 projects for Ex Nihilo. The group's aim is to combine publicity and art on the one hand and to incorporate new elements of art into dance on the other. The company is particularly dedicated to long-term projects, which it shares with the public through workshops, courses and encounters. Cie. Ex Nihilo has been an important partner of the project since 2017 LA CITÉ DES ARTS DE LA RUE, a place of creation and experimentation with 36,000 m² of open space for the arts of the street in Marseille.
