Company Chameleon – The Ultimate Players Handbook

In the middle of the city, a living manual is being created – not one on paper. It is written in motion and with strategy. The street performance explores the games of our everyday life – games in which rules are established and broken, in which the roles of winners and losers alternate, and in which cooperation is just as important as competition. Thus teams form, alliances vary, and every movement challenges us to think about the roles
to reflect upon that we play: on stage, in life, and in the spaces in between. With music, dance, and celebrations, this ever-evolving handbook invites us to question: How do we deal with rules? How can we celebrate playfulness in our everyday lives? How do we celebrate when the game never truly ends?
The Chameleon Company is known for its unique and athletic dance style, shaped by Anthony Missen and Kevin Edward Turner. The two met in the 1990s at the Trafford Youth Dance Theatre and founded their own company in 2007, which now tours internationally and gives over 50 indoor and outdoor performances annually. Clémentine Télesfort and Lisard Tranis have been working together since 2019. Together, they explore physical expression as a means of communication, developing images, characters, and stories from it. Often described as an ode to presence in which the everyday gives rise to the poetics of the subconscious.
